NRI CONNECT TV RESPECTS INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

NRI Connect TV respects the intellectual-property rights of creators, publishers, photographers, videographers, musicians, journalists, businesses, government agencies, and other rights holders.

At the same time, NRI Connect TV reserves all lawful rights available to media organizations to:

comment;
criticize;
analyze;
review;
educate;

summarize;

transform;
parody where appropriate;
and otherwise make legally permissible use of third-party materials.

Sharing a link is different from downloading and reposting the underlying article, image, or video. Copying the full NRI Connect TV article into another website, WhatsApp publication, newsletter, app, Facebook page, or commercial media service.

Staff should not simply download photographs from Google Images or another news outlet.

AP, REUTERS, GETTY AND OTHER NEWS AGENCIES

Materials from organizations such as:

Associated Press;
Reuters;
Getty Images;
Bloomberg;
AFP;
other commercial wire services

should not be republished merely because the material is visible elsewhere.

NRI Connect TV should obtain an applicable license or establish another lawful basis before reproducing copyrighted agency photographs, video, graphics, or substantial text.

MUSIC

NRI Connect TV should only use music where an appropriate legal basis exists, such as:

original music owned by NRI Connect TV;
properly licensed music;
royalty-free music used within its license;
commissioned music;
properly licensed platform music;
public-domain music.

A Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, or other streaming subscription generally does not itself provide a commercial media synchronization license.

Contributors should retain proof of licenses.

USER COMMENTS

If NRIConnectTV.com permits comments, users remain responsible for material they post.

Users may not upload or post content that infringes third-party copyright.

NRI Connect TV may:

remove;
disable;
restrict;
hide;
preserve;
review

comments at its discretion.

Remaining visible does not mean NRI Connect TV has verified that a comment is non-infringing.

USER-SUBMITTED PHOTOS, VIDEO AND CONTENT

By submitting materials to NRI Connect TV, a user represents that they either:

own the material; or
have sufficient rights to submit it.

The submitting party grants NRI Connect TV the rights described in our Terms of Service, which may include rights to:

CONTRIBUTOR CONTENT

Contributors, freelancers, volunteers, photographers, videographers, editors, producers, and other participants should execute appropriate agreements defining:

ownership;

assignment of rights;
licenses;
archival rights;
monetization rights;
third-party permissions;
warranties.

Where an agreement assigns ownership to NRICONNECTTV, the Company retains those rights after the contributor relationship ends.

ORIGINAL RAW FOOTAGE

Where content is created specifically for NRI Connect TV, the Company may require retention and delivery of:

raw video;
original photographs;
audio recordings;
source files;
project files;
transcripts;
releases;
licensing evidence.

These materials may be preserved for:

verification;
editing;
copyright enforcement;
litigation defense;
editorial archives;
future publication.

AI-GENERATED CONTENT

NRI Connect TV may use artificial intelligence to assist with:

illustrations;
graphics;
design concepts;
transcription;
translation;
research;
writing assistance;
editing.

Copyrightability of AI-assisted or AI-generated content can involve fact-specific questions, particularly regarding human authorship.

Accordingly, NRI Connect TV does not make unnecessary representations that every AI-generated element independently qualifies for copyright protection.

However, NRI Connect TV reserves all rights it lawfully holds in:

human-authored portions;
editorial selection;
arrangement;
compilation;
modifications;
graphics;
branding;
accompanying text;
video production.

AI TRAINING AND MACHINE LEARNING RESTRICTIONS

Unless specifically authorized in writing, NRI Connect TV does not grant permission for third parties to systematically use NRI Connect TV content for:

generative-AI training;
large-language-model training;
model fine-tuning;
machine-learning datasets;
commercial retrieval-augmented generation;
embedding databases;
synthetic news datasets;
automated article generation;
model evaluation datasets;
commercial text-and-data mining.

These restrictions are contractual and do not purport to eliminate exceptions or rights that applicable law may independently grant.

SCRAPING AND AUTOMATED EXTRACTION

Unless authorized, users may not employ:

crawlers;
bots;
spiders;
scraping systems;
automated downloaders;
automated agents

to systematically acquire or reproduce NRI Connect TV content.

NRI Connect TV may employ:

robots.txt;
authentication;
rate limits;
IP blocking;
technical access controls.

Circumvention of access controls may result in suspension or legal action where appropriate.

CONTENT MONITORING

NRI Connect TV is not obligated to proactively inspect every user submission before publication.

However, we may monitor materials for:

We reserve broad discretion to remove content even when legal infringement has not conclusively been established.

rely on fair use;
rely on license;
seek legal review;
restore content;
take no action.

NRI Connect TV reserves all lawful defenses.

FALSE OR ABUSIVE COPYRIGHT CLAIMS

Users should not submit copyright complaints:

they know are false;
for works they do not control;
simply to suppress criticism;
simply to remove unfavorable reporting;
to improperly conceal public information;
to interfere with lawful fair use.

NRI Connect TV reserves the right to consider evidence of bad faith or abuse when determining its response and may pursue available legal remedies.

DMCA DESIGNATED AGENT

If NRI Connect TV qualifies as an online service provider and intends to rely on applicable DMCA safe-harbor provisions for user-hosted content, it should designate a DMCA agent both:

publicly on the website; and
through the U.S. Copyright Office’s electronic system.

The Copyright Office’s regulations require a service provider seeking to comply with Section 512(c)(2) to publish and register designated-agent information, keep it current, and renew the designation generally every three years. U.S. Copyright Office

Publishing an email address on this page alone is not sufficient to complete Copyright Office designation.

DMCA NOTICE REQUIREMENTS

REPEAT INFRINGER POLICY

Where Section 512 applies, NRI Connect TV intends to maintain a policy for terminating, in appropriate circumstances, users who repeatedly infringe copyrights.

The Copyright Office identifies adoption and reasonable implementation of a repeat-infringer policy as one of the conditions applicable to Section 512 safe-harbor eligibility. U.S. Copyright Office

TikTok;

NRI Connect TV may also utilize automated rights-management systems where appropriate.

NO WAIVER

Failure to enforce copyright against one party does not waive NRI Connect TV’s rights against:

that party later;
another party;
another use;
another work.

Selective enforcement does not constitute abandonment.

RESERVATION OF RIGHTS

All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Nothing in this Policy shall be construed as:

INTERVIEW GUEST MATERIAL

slogans;
short phrases;
logos lacking sufficient authorship.

Such elements may instead receive protection under trademark law or other laws.

Use of NRI Connect TV branding is also governed by our trademark and Terms-of-Service provisions.

INTERNATIONAL COPYRIGHT

NRI Connect TV may be accessible globally.

Nothing in this Policy represents that a use permitted in one country is automatically permitted everywhere.

NRI Connect TV reserves all rights available under applicable U.S. and international laws and treaties.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
